Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Our Privacy Commitment
TorchFI is designed to be privacy-first. All calculators run entirely in your browser, we never see, store, or transmit your financial data. This policy explains what limited data we do collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
If you contact us via email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message. This is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.
Information Collected Automatically
We may use privacy-focused analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not track individual users or use cookies.
Local Storage
Our calculators use your browser's localStorage to save your last input values so you don't have to re-enter them on return visits. This data never leaves your browser. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
Cookies
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary (localStorage) | Save calculator inputs locally | Until cleared |
| Advertising (third-party) | Adsterra and its partners may set cookies to serve and personalize ads and to measure ad performance | Up to 24 months |
Advertising
We use third-party advertising companies to display ads when you visit our site. Our primary advertising partner is Adsterra.
- Adsterra, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site.
- Adsterra's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to TorchFI and/or other sites on the Internet.
- These advertising cookies do not have access to the financial figures you enter into our calculators — those inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us or to any advertiser.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we request your consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, in accordance with applicable law.
How We Use Your Data
- Analytics: Aggregate, non-personal usage statistics to understand which calculators are most used.
- Communication: To respond to your inquiries if you contact us.
Data Sharing & Sales
TorchFI does not sell your personal information. We do not share the information you provide us directly (such as email correspondence) with third parties for their own marketing. However, we do use third-party advertising and analytics vendors — see the Advertising section above — who may set their own cookies and collect data through your use of our site. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell your data, and you can opt out of personalized advertising using the link in the Advertising section.
Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data.
- Right to restrict processing: Request limited use of your data.
- Right to data portability: Request transfer of your data.

If you are in California:
- Right to know: Request details of personal information collected, used, or disclosed.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information.
- Right to opt out: Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data).
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us.
Data Retention
We retain email correspondence for up to 12 months after the last communication. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form indefinitely. No personal data is stored server-side beyond correspondence.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. Since almost all data processing occurs in your browser, our server-side data exposure is minimal. All communications with our server use HTTPS encryption.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
