By using TorchFI (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Educational Purpose

All calculators, tools, and content on TorchFI are provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are not financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. No Professional-Client Relationship

Use of this site does not create a financial advisor-client, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and TorchFI or any of its contributors.

User Responsibilities

• You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• You agree not to scrape, reproduce, or commercially exploit the Site's content without permission, except as allowed by applicable copyright law.

Intellectual Property

All content on TorchFI — including text, calculators, code, design, and data — is owned by or licensed to TorchFI. Calculator source code is available on GitHub for personal and educational use. Commercial use of our content, APIs, or data requires separate licensing — contact us for details.

Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or control these sites and are not responsible for their content, practices, or accuracy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TorchFI, its owners, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to financial losses, investment losses, or lost opportunities. You use the Site entirely at your own risk.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TorchFI and its contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or violation of these terms.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First

Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at torchfi@thetorchfi.com. We will respond within 30 days and work in good faith to resolve the issue.

Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration. There is no judge or jury in arbitration, and court review of an arbitration award is limited. The arbitration will be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration will take place in the jurisdiction of the Site owner's principal place of business, or remotely via video conference if the parties agree.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with TorchFI on an individual basis only, not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against TorchFI.

Severability

If any part of this Dispute Resolution section is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement shall be void.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
